The Logic

Sometimes I wonder what you saw in me in the first place and my reservations won’t lay my doubts to rest.

My doubts are almost crippling at times, perhaps because I cannot fully allow myself to leap into this – and by that very same principle I am forced to act against my natural inclinations. It would be so easy to ride the winds of fate and ignore the consequences, but that mistake has been done before and to repeat the very same mistake would be folly.

So I wait, and we consult the stars, discuss the possibilities behind the cool exteriors of two people entrenched in logic.

Because logic gives us boundaries.

And God knows I need guidelines.
