Namaste India (104 Lygon St, Carlton, 3053, Victoria, Australia) used to be right around the corner from my place, which was convenient for many a day when I was too lazy to cook.
This cosy little restaurant on Lygon St consistently serves up fantastic Indian food, my favorite being the mutton Briyani - authentic, delicious and fragrant, with the mutton being cooked with the rice, as it should be! Try the mango lassi as well, thick blended mango, not those overly smooth blends that you normally get.
Service can be variable, depending on how busy the place is, but has never disappointed food-wise.
