Their specialities are authentic simple pizzas, Italian style. It's surprising how easy it is to underestimate simplicity, but the pizza bases and thin and light, and their toppings are always fresh. They also have a beautiful array of cheeses, their specialty being their buffalo cheese, which can be added on to most of their pizzas.
You'd be hard pressed to find a seat though - it's always full and service can be a bit slow when they're maxed out! The staff are mostly Italian, as is most of the menu - which sometimes makes things a bit tricky ordering, but it adds to the charm of the place.
One of Carlton's hidden gems indeed.
