Jump Street Asia

If you’re bored and uncertain of what to do on a weekend, consider heading over to Jump Street in Petaling Jaya for a fun workout.

Jump Street is an indoor trampoline park which opened up a couple of years back, and glad to say that they’ve managed to keep the place well maintained so far. It’s not near public transport, and you do need a car to get there, but it’s conveniently located slightly behind Jaya 33 Mall for those who are driving.

You can buy tickets at the counter or pre-book online; they charge RM22 per hour for off-peak and RM27 per hour for peak sessions. However weekends generally have promotions where the second hour is cheaper, so it’s best to check their website. You also have to buy the grip socks (RM5), but if you’ve bought them once you can bring them in the next visit.

If it’s your first time, introduce yourself to one of the staff members in the green and black jerseys and they’ll run you through the general rules and teach you a little technique for your jumps. There are also lockers in the park for you to stash your things while you’re jumping.

There are several sections within the park: Two dodgeball courts, the main court, which is a larger trampoline area for a mix of different trampoline sections, a section with super trampolines (which allows you to jump extra high!) and a fun section with basketball baskets and a foam pit.

They even have Jump Aerobics – a cardio session incorporating aerobics. We tried it out for a little bit (I bounced in an out of the session because it was so tiring, but it really was a lot of fun – I probably need to work on my stamina a little bit). The other thing about the trampolines is that you have to make sure your core is strong when jumping, otherwise you can get a bit of back pain!

Enjoying the trampolines!
Honestly, I don’t think anyone can be grumpy when you’re jumping on trampolines – it’s such a fun activity for everyone of all ages, and children above three are allowed as well. I would also pre-book tickets (they limit the number of jumpers per session to make sure there’s enough space for everyone).

Jump Street is at:
