Breaking the Addiction

I’ve always had a sweet tooth, but this week has been horrific in terms of my sugar intake.

I know how awful processed sugar is, and I’ve been trying to eat healthier; however the thought of reducing sugar in my diet has always been an uphill battle. The introduction of the new food pyramid, and how it cuts out sugar entirely, is an additional reminder of how much sugar isn't an essential part of the diet at all.



After a solid week of eating a pack of 400g M&Ms per day, I’ve decided that something actually has to be done – I actually need to break the hold that sugar has over me; I cannot deny that it’s become an addiction of sorts, and like any addiction, it needs to be dealt with.
