One day someone is going to hug you so tight that that all of your broken pieces will stick back together.

Heal
No person has the right to condemn you on how you repair your heart or how long you choose to grieve, because no one knows how much you're hurting. Recovering takes time, and everyone heals and his or her own pace.

Healing
Isn't the body a beautiful thing?
I am watching my wound, the way I have spent a portion of my time every day, and I have watched it heal. Watched how every day it seems to be a little bit different, how the tissues have knitted together to close the gap, to close the edges.
In a few days it will heal, leaving nothing but a trace of the wound it once was.
How beautiful our body is, and it's ability to heal itself. Despite being a doctor and being able to witness instances of healing, it is something that happens so gradually that it is sometimes imperceptible, but our body is constantly working to achieve that state of wholeness again.
The things we take for granted?
It's like magic.
It's like magic.

See the Future
Is that what we have left? A man living in the past with one eye fixed so firmly in the future that he cannot see the present?
The past is important no doubt. It is everything that has culminated to this moment, to the person who you are - but it will not define the person that you will become. Do not cling to the past, to the extent that you cannot see that you continue to stay fearful, or that you do not wish to progress any further.
You are more than this.
Your future is more than this.
Do not let your past take you.
